| Ray Doty has been my go-to contractor for about 15 years. He is meticulous and professional: he comes on time, stays on budget (sometimes even under budget), and consistently does a beautiful job. There is not a part of my house that he has not worked on. He has painted both the exterior and interior, installed new windows, completely done over my kitchen, replaced the roof and the gutters, redone two decks, and even fixed a retaining wall in my front yard. | As a former Project manager for Housing Resources of Columbia County Inc. from 2006 to 2011, I have worked on many home improvement projects. For over five years I have worked on upwards of a thousand different projects. I have worked with many different contractors and clients throughout Columbia County. At times I could have as many as 20 different projects going on with 20 different contractors. Believe me this can make things a bit difficult to manage. If Raymond Doty Contracting was awarded a project, it made my job considerably easier. I never had to chase them down to get work performed. Ray always made himself available to answer questions regarding the work he was involved in. If when I called he was busy with another client, Ray would call me back promptly as soon as he was done. Ray always completed his work in a timely manner. In a nutshell, I never had to worry about the job. I never had any problems getting his company's insurance documents, for example, (Certificate of General Liability and Compensation Docs). I never had a problem with him opening or closing Building Permits. Ray always got along well with all Building Inspectors, Architects and other Contractors he was involved with. If any problems should arise on a job, like a change order, Ray was always fair to both me and to the client.
